With support from the IETF NG & Ngtrans Working Groups and the IPv6 Deployment Initiative, Latif initiated the foundation of the IPv6 Forum in May 1999 (www.ipv6forum.com<\/a>), of which he is the President. He also served as chairman of the European IPv6 Task Force (www.ipv6.eu<\/a>), is an Emeritus Trustee of the Internet Society (ISOC) (www.isoc.org<\/a>) and a Board Member of the IPv6 Ready Logo Program (www.ipv6ready.org<\/a>). Furthermore, Latif works at the University of Luxembourg as a Senior Researcher on multiple European Commission Next Generation Technologies IST Projects (6INIT – www.6init.org\u00c2\u00a0<\/a> \u2013 First Pioneer IPv6 Research Project, 6WINIT- www.6winit.org<\/a> , NGNi – www.ngni.org<\/a>, EURo6IX- www.euro6ix.org<\/a>, Eurov6 – www.eurov6.org.\u00c2\u00a0<\/a> In addition, Latif is involved in the following projects:\u00a0 IPv6 Security & Privacy project –\u00a0 Security Expert Initiative (SEINIT) –\u00a0 www.seinit.org<\/a> , European Security Task Force project – SecurIST:\u00a0 www.securitytaskforce.org<\/a> , u-2010 Emergency & Disaster and Crisis Management – www.u-2010.eu<\/a>, Public Safety Communication Forum – publicsafetycommunication.eu, FIPSANS project\u00a0 – www.efipsans.eu<\/a>, Secricom Safety & Security Project – www.secricom.eu<\/a> and IRMA Project (Integrated Risk management for Africa using IPv6) –\u00a0 www.irma.lu<\/a>,.
