Derrick is passionate about leveraging the power of technology to leapfrog sustainable development across Africa. Using his practical understanding of apps, platforms and emerging tech Derrick is leading teams working hard to promote digital and financial inclusion across Africa.<\/div>\n

He has cofounded Izzypay, a Kenyan fintech company with over 5000 active customers. Izzypay targets rural customers, mostly women , youth and largely informal with a BNPL financing for smartphones FINTECH value proposition. Ideally, Customers pay 10% of the cost and make the rest of the installments daily <$0.6 spread over 365 days. But Izzypay’s value-proposition does not stop here, with the phone, customers have a preinstalled Izzypay app with savings, payments, save now pick later, and last-minute small tickets loan value propositions. We drive sustainable development across rural Africa through mobile. SDGs we effect: No poverty, Sustainable innovation, and Industry. Derrick is also involved with other Fintech companies namely #Payless -neobank for the Youth – Product lead and Board of Directors member, Seed savannah- a platform for crowdfunding homegrown African ideas and startups.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
